Bachelor’s in Education Degrees in Oregon
Bachelor degree programs in elementary education, early childhood education and special education are common in Oregon, as well as several options for a double-degree program that allows students to earn a degree in education and a degree in the field of their choosing. This 50-plus-credit program allows teachers to teach students in grades k-12.
There are several universities offering bachelor degree programs in Christian education, early childhood education (licensure and non-licensure), and secondary education. Concordia offers a degree completion program in early childhood education for students interested in leadership positions in daycares and preschool settings. Students spend the final semester of this 5-semester program completing an internship.
Master’s in Education Degrees in Oregon
There are multiple options for Master’s in Teaching degrees in Oregon. A M.A.T. program – offered both full and part-time – offers concentrations in elementary and secondary education. Full-time students can complete this program in 11 months. The Master of Education program has concentrations in administration, curriculum and instruction, educational leadership and special education. There are 20 additional emphasis areas within the curriculum and instruction concentration.

Eastern Oregon University has endorsement programs for reading, special education and ESOL as well as a teaching of writing certificate program. Oregon State University has certification programs in agriculture education, music education and physical education. Students completing the physical education program will be licensed to teach physical education to students aged 3 through grade 12. Pacific University offers licensure and endorsement programs in several areas of study.
