To work as a teacher in Texas, an individual must have a bachelor’s degree. If the degree is a non-teaching degree, the individual must also complete an approved teaching preparation program. Texas State University offers master degree programs in developmental education; educational technology; elementary education; reading education; secondary education; special education.
