Bachelor’s in Education Programs
The University of Colorado – Denver offers bachelor’s degree in education and human development with concentrations in elementary education, early childhood education, human development and family relations, secondary education and special education. The University of Phoenix – Colorado offers bachelor degrees in education/early childhood education; education/elementary teacher education; and liberal studies. Colorado Mountain College features a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a concentration in interdisciplinary studies. Regis University offers a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education aimed at students who want to obtain a teaching license for grades k-6.
Master’s in Education Programs
UC – Denver offers Master of Arts degrees in childhood education and childhood education with early childhood special education specialist license. They also offer master degrees in educational psychology, information and learning technologies, special education, curriculum and instruction, and counseling. UC-Denver also offers master degree programs for elementary and secondary education teachers with various areas of concentration such as culturally linguistically diverse English; math; science; math & science; reading and writing; principal and school leadership; and English.
UP – Colorado has various master degree programs for teachers and advanced teachers. The regular master degree programs offer the same major as the bachelor degree programs and the advanced master programs focus on either education/administration and supervision or education/curriculum and instruction.
Students who want a variety in educational master degree programs can find all they need at Regis University, which offers a dozen different programs. Majors include special education, educational leadership, early childhood special education, curriculum, instruction and assessment, reading, elementary education and adult education & training, among others.
Online Teaching Degrees from Colorado Universities
Aspen University, a distance learning college, offers various online education programs, including a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education as well as a B.S. in Early Childhood Education completion program for candidates who already have an associate degree. Master in Education programs with concentrations in curriculum development and outcomes assessment; educational technology; and transformational leadership are also offered at Aspen University.
A variety of online degree programs are offered at UC – Denver, including master degree programs in information and learning technology and in early childhood education. There are also fifteen certificate programs in subjects like specialist license, behavior analysis, early literacy, health education and many more. An education specialist and three doctoral degree programs are offered online by UP – Colorado. Regis University offers online master degree programs in instructional technology; curriculum, instruction and assessment; and continuing teacher education.
Certifications & Specializations
UC – Denver offers various specialist programs that allow teachers to add endorsements to their teaching licenses. They also have certification programs to help teachers maintain certification. Three doctoral degree programs are also available for teachers who want to advance their education to the highest level.
UP-Colorado offers the following certification programs: California Teachers of English Learners, Graduate Principal Licensure and Graduate Special Education as well as several doctoral degree programs. Colorado Mountain College offers four certificate programs in early childhood education with focuses on developmental interventionist, director, group leader or teacher.
